Tonight, well early this morning, I am stuck in the black hole of internet surfing . …
First I found blip fm and started searching for song that I have not listened to in awhile. Then, I found, oh gosh I so should not confess this, my favorite singer since I was a kid, Andy Williams. Ok blush.
My father joined the Columbia record club for awhile and we got something like 10 free albums because he joined. My brother and I each got to choose one each. It was either 1969 or 1970 and I was not exactly music savvy really. The first record I ever bought myself was the Monkeys I’m a Believer. I believe it had I am not your Steppin’ Stone on the flip side. Remember those old vinyl 45’s! I ordered the album that is in the lower left corner in the photo above. I think I liked the beach photo. My favorite song that I drove everyone nuts in the house with was Happy Heart.
Back to Andy. When KRP and I were traveling in the south we stopped in Branson Missouri. We stood in line at the Moon River Theater in hopes of getting tickets to that nights show. Not only did we get them but I couple called and canceled just as we made it to the counter. We ended up with second row isle seats. Way cool. And, yes he sang Happy Heart.
So with total nerdy-ness here is Andy and Happy Heart:

Yep visualize me kicked back on the couch eating Schloss covered crackers drinking soda water while Andy belts out a tune.
Ok, so don’t make me regret this post now 🙂

Actually, I remember watching the Andy Williams show on TV, but I didn’t buy any albums.
No regrets, sweetie. If you lurved you some Andy, so be it!
