I do not know why this really irritates me. I recieved a notice stating due to the low number of registered voters in our voting district, to save money, we all will be sent ballots in the mail, and there will be no polling place.
I am bummed because the ritual of going to the polling place has been taken away. I am shocked that less than 250 people are registered to vote. I am also prone to wondering about the possibility that my vote will not be counted. Silly, I know, but somehow dropping my ballot in a physical box seems more secure than the US Postal Service and who knows where it goes after that.
Just another change in my little world.
