One Thing After Another and Speedy the Lucky Snail

I was so excited! A good nites sleep was due. The temperature outside – nice and cool. In the middle of nice cool dream bang boom and a lot of sound. The sound when ____ hits the fan. I thought oh my God somebody has finally driven through the townhouse. It was close – closer to my neighboors doorway. The older tattered white car backed up just as we got out the door. The front of the complex fence hanging in its radiator. It backed up and proceeded down the street with four flat fires and making all sorts of noises. No one was dressed, nobody had their wallets, keys, or glasses on – so the evil doers limped off into the sunrise.

Notice the bush branch on the ground – that is where they stopped – just short of the neighboors door.

Here you can see their entrance point – the stepping stones in the first picture came from the to right side of the walkway near the middle of the grass area.

One very lucky snail!

We are back to the accountability issue again. Did you know that if you take out a fence and some lawn as long as you take off and leave – there are no consequences. Yep according to Sacramento PD it is nothing but simple vandalism. Good luck if the association did take them to court – I mean how do you prove who was driving?

I no longer wonder why people do not feel a twinge of responsibility – everywhere they turn the find out they are not. The message sent by our law enforcement/legal system is you will get away with it as long as you do not admit anything.

I almost forgot the section of fence to the right of the new damaged area was just replaced last Friday. Another vandal drove through it – one in a black Pathfinder with lic#XXXXXXX ( do not want to get sued for publishing the facts do I?).

I am so glad that my unit is farther down and hopefully out of the line of fire. The trend seems to be each hit is further to the left and closer to home. I also hope some of the trees and the light poles may slow em down when they head our way.
