For the lack of a better topic . …

I recieved a great deal on a new lens today! Cheaper than the going rate on the internet plus there is a $90.00 rebate. I really can not afford to do this but … I did it anyway!

You must first understand how excitied I was about this. VERY!! I took off in my trusty truck and headed south. The rain clouds loomed over head but not a drop one so far during the day. Just as I neared my intended destination it started raining. Not just rain but a down pour that included some hail. Augh! I was hard enough to see the roadway and avoid the crazy drivers that had no clue as to the speed limit rules – you know the part – as safe as conditions allow.

I stopped off and got a hair cut. I had been letting it grow but at shoulder length it was starting to really bug me. Now I sport short hair and have rediscovered my ears.

After dinner and television I snapped off a few shots with the new lens. Looking for something to shoot was limited by what was about the house and obvious. I decided nothing beats vegetables! So, for former President George H. W. Bush we have:

Over on the Sac Rag Ron issued a memo for us Lookie Lous (loos). “I shouldn’t have to post this, but Sacramento never ceases to amaze me” he opens with. Well, I agree about the people who stopped on the freeway blocking traffic, and I can see your point that “As if the blazing heat wasn’t enough to keep folks from stopping?” the mention of the toxic chemicals should have. I guess since I did not block traffic or run out the night the fire started I am excempt from being a total idiot – LOL.

As for the toxic smoke the smell and density of the ash laden junk was worse over my home than standing up wind from the after glow the next night.

I think I have been insulted but I am not smart enough to be sure!

I almost commented on the site but many of the comments were ramblings about the news v basketball coverage. Now here is where I agree – I should’nt need to say this but I agree with one of the commentors Lynn:

“I watched the entire news10 coverage of the fire. Then I switched to channel 3. I checked channel 13, but they didn’t interrupt basketball for even one second. Why is basketball more important than telling people to stay away from carcinogenic smoke? “

So for the first time in my life I went to the site of an active news story – oh my! Another thing checked off my list of things to do before I die!

No traffic was blocked, no responding personel were hindered,  and no animals were killed in the making of this post.

Shameless begging LOL – but really I just thought it would be fun.

Sometimes I just google kmilyun and flickr and see what shows up. Tonight was one of those times. I google and one the first page the Happy Camper Catfish comes up. I click the link and start laughing. My dear sweet doggie has his picture displayed under seafood pictures and Photos on a site that has a domain name starting with gourmet and list recipes for seafood and ads for recipe sites. LOL Poor Catfish he is really worried that someone might try and bake him now!

I wonder if the google ads purchasers for Ladies Home Journal or Grandmas Recipe Book know that they are advertising on a site that thinks cute little Catfish Dog is prime eating material?
