501’s Who Knew

My friends that have kept up on this blog know this: I decided to quit blogging here awhile ago and have started it up again – sort of – not the one a day post I tried for before but I am getting more active here. I decided to stop before because someone figured out the what, where and who am I and started a campaign – oh enough bout that anyways other than to mention it is not a good thing when a minion of the neighborhood knocks on your door and have there say. Plus, keeping track of all the political and social news started to be a major stain on the brain :0.

You have to give me this: the title does allude to different paths eh?

I truly am in a crazy mixed up space right now. Not sure where my physical self is taking my inner self. It is strange how I never really thought about how I presented myself to the population at large. I have never been into the “in” fashions or looking all that. But, surprising I do have some standards LOL

I like 501 jeans I like the button up fly and close fit. I dislike baggy cause then my clothing gets in the way. Getting a shirt sleeve or pant leg stuck in a moving chain or caught on a branch while hiking or biking really sucked. I have a full set of mountain biking gear and realized that it is all color matched to gasp – the bicycle, as is my motorcycle gear is to the motorcycle.

Now mind you I don’t ride my motorcycle anymore ;( and I have not been mountain biking or stuck in brush over 5 years – so – this means that my aversion to baggy zippered pants is not out of necessity but of like? Who knew?

The point is lately I have a lot of empty time on my hands and hence I think. Thinking can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what I think of and how cognizant my mind is at the time. I also figured out that I so dislike someone thinking I am stupid – oh I hate that one a lot. Really, I am actually intelligent, honest really, I say as I put the xbox remote in the refrigerator. …

Off to try and button these dang jean up now for some reason it is important right now -who knew –

Our Group

I have not been getting out and taking any photos lately. I get so dang tired or end up triping over my feet it seems lately. But, this weekend I am going to shoot our friends God sons baptism. I dislike the weddings and gatherings like this when I am asked to photograph them. For one, I am not very good at taking people pics, and two it makes me nervous that I might not get some good shots of such important events for my friends.

On the other hand, in these hard economic times a group of us have formed a tight group with a looser knit peripheral group. We are a very diverse group in all areas. We are European decent, African American, Vietnamese, Filipino, Chinese, Hispanic, and bi racial. We are heterosexual, homosexual, married, divorced, single, and twenty something up to late sixties.  What we have in common is a strong desire to insure that the children have a childhood. That we as adults have a social support system and that we have some fun in the too.

The tie in here is one of the younger couples godson is getting baptized this weekend. In fact more than one baby is up for the deal so I will be busy. The other thing I must mention is it is going to be a Catholic ceremony of some sorts. I dunno – I was brought up Protestant . .. ummm…. how hard could it be? LOL OH yeah, most of the family only speaks Spanish. So wish me luck that my eye ball stays good and my feet stay under me.

We are getting the plans firmed up for Thanksgiving. So far it looks like 40 or so people will be gathering. Everyone is bringing a favorite family dish, our friends M and M are setting up their garage as the dining area, their daughter is expecting a boy so the proud fathers family will be there too. More later on this one.
