It Is Good

Ok, so I have to go with that this Christmas was not all that bad.  I spent the day at my parents.  A few firsts happened there too. It was the first time that a dish I made and brought met my moms approval. It was the first time I was able to keep my big mouth shut when my brother went into his usual diatribes where the point to be garnered is how wonderful he is.

I made it there and back in one piece.

I still have my cold and am hacking my lungs up – well at least it feels that way but today I feel asleep on the couch and there I remained most of the day – ZZZZZzzzz ah it felt good to snooze undisturbed.

Catfish and Annie dogs are waiting downstairs for me. The other half put some ribs in the crock pot early this morning and they are cooking away. Oh they smell so good! Yeah! I don’t have to make dinner.

I am headed back downstairs to peacefully suck on a cough drop, smell the goodness of dinnner, and cuddle with the dogs while under a pile of blankets on the couch in front of the boob tube.

It is good

  1. I’m sorry about the cold; glad you had a nice Christmas. We did too, after all the hand-wringing leading up to it. I think one of my New Year’s Resolutions should be to tell everyone not to expect anything from me. That way they’ll be pleasantly surprised with whatever I manage to dredge up. 😉
