Triple Talk and Driving

No driving to the IslandAs you know I have not blogged in a while – oops!  Each time I sat down with the intent to post I became side tracked. Life has a way of doing that – side tracking me that is.

Stuff that I have been doing includes a couple of trips to the  dentist to fix a couple of fillings. A trip to San Francisco where Billy, KRP, and I spent the day with Billy driving us all over the place. Stopped and had a late lunch at the Delancey Street Restaurant where I had a spinach salad and a bowl of chowder.

We had a blast just driving places that are not on the usual list.  Driving down Lombard Street, over to  Coit Tower, and eating at the restaurant were the only standard places we went.  We  just looked out the truck windows as Billy drove up and down who knows how many different alleys and streets.

At home all the dogs are doing well. Catfish is hanging in there and Annie has not eaten any more corn cobs!

The rest of what has been going on is in the video – yeah it has some shots taken while driving around – they are kind of giggly in some spots because the country truck does not do city pot holes well! I played around with some basic effects too.

that tower… the huge, um,… well anyway… the murals are really pretty… i thought i read somewhere there is 21 of them in that tower? amazing stuff

glad you had a good trip… SF is such a beautiful city… i hope to visit it again one day… and if i do i will surely have to fit in Sausalito, Monterey, and Carmel… all my favs….

    and naturally, Sacramento too 🙂

    • Surely you recognize the Ms Society Bear? :0
I think because they were both there on the bench when I got bored killing time to time out the vid? Or maybe someone had to do it. …

Ok so the tower is huge and the um well anyway . … the detail in the murals is amazing really. Wish we could have gone up but there was such a line waiting for the elevator and I do not like elevators so I only go up when it is not crowded.

It was a nice day! Monterey – the aquarium! Whale watching now that would be fun. Salt point, Big Trees, . … we here in Calif have many great spots.

  2. Holy Toledo! I don’t know why, but I was thinking that Lombard St was closed to traffic.

Glad you had a fun SF outing this time.

Excellent video — good luck with the smart phone. Bwa-ha-ha!

    • Well we did good I suppose after all the Myth Busters show’s van got stuck on it a while back.
Yeah Billy is an expert at finding rest rooms and circling till one is done. No porta potties this trip ha ha.

I am smarter than my phone, I am smarter than my phone . …

        • well the left-side me in the video was giving it a try I guess I piece of wire is not a good wand?

I am getting the hang of the phone – still not as smart as the smart phone but hanging in there.

  3. [..YouTube..] i can’t quite put my finger on it… but i think there’s something different about this video… hmmm haha

that shirt… girls *heart* dirt…. COOL!

  4. [..YouTube..] @sherristakes I think that shirt is old as dirt LOL Least we both have working phones now ha ha. So we can send arse pics LOL

  5. So cool. Had no idea Lombard would look like that. So curvy. I’m not too sure if I could drive down it though. Love the triple talk effect. I visited SF years ago. Its funny. The first thing I said as I went outside was, “It smells so nice here.” Needless to say New Orleans does not smell like that.
    Blogging? Breaks are good!

    • the first time down is rather scary after that not so much. Now the big truck that was fun. Watching all the funny looks and comments we got when Billy was driving down. I guess no one expected that big of a truck headed down.

I love the smell of the ocean and even the fog – New Orleans, last time I was there was a few months after Katrina and man yeah it stunk. Up further where my friends live it had more delta type smell. To dang humid for my dry Calif heat bod.
