I wish I could capture all the seasonal changes and how the landscape changes and do it justice.

these are both very pretty! the sky in the second picture… such deep blues… wow!
kmilyun
I think the sky was darker because I held an ND graduate in front trying to block the sun a bit.

I’ve heard people say that California doesn’t have seasons, but that’s wrong. You’ve just got to be paying attention!
kmilyun
Oh we still have them although a remember spring and Fall seeming more pronounced when I was a kid. Once outside the city the changes become more apparent and you are correct paying attention helps.

Ain’t nothing wrong with these! Great muted reflections and a beautiful composition in the first one. And the blue sky in the second…wow!
kmilyun
Thank you. The first one is a place I like to catch the reflections in the water and getting the blue of the sky is compliments of the use of a graduated ND filter .

I must get myself one of those. I have a circular polarizing filter, but it isn’t quite as good as that!

Looks like a classic crisp Fall day. So, what’s the UFO on the right in the second pic? Did they come for you?
kmilyun
the UFO’s appeared shortly after waving the magic wand. Alas, they did not take me with them.

Those picture look good to me. You could try taking the same shot on a weekly basis and see how it changes. That would make an interesting Gallery!

Webster I do have a few taken through the years – different times and different seasons. Perhaps I will go back through the pics sometime and look for them. I like your idea perhaps a photo a week of the same spots – like that idea.

Seasons and photography go together like blogs and comments. (Yes, that is profound…take a shot or three of whiskey and you’ll agree.) Our Nikon is so new and old…daggone.

Today’s technological advance is tomorrows old news.
