Some great shots! Had to laugh at the first one, I think that bird might have been impaired or something. Love the wonky reflections shot too! Wishing you happy and blessed New Year.
Cheers
LOL Webster! the Kites sure do that though – they are fun to watch soaring around and hunt together most times I have observed them – the tree is table seating?
Interesting as usual. Do you know what the bird in the water (3rd shot) is? Unusual looking character. And, how did the landing go for bird number one?
I believe it is an American Coot chasing something in the water – it was amazing how fast it went. They usually just swim and stick their heads into the water or dive. This is the first time I have seen one swimming like this. At first I was worried that maybe it was injured but it would stop and act normal and then all of a sudden take off like jet ski down the canal. I am guessing it was chasing fish?
The Egret landed just fine ๐

Happy New Year to you also. The first bird looks like he is landing like I do ๐

I like your second to last shot. He’s just lookin’ around, biding his time, til he notices something good to eat. Sorta like me.
