I spent my blogging time today figuring out how to get an archieve page to work. I wanted to also add a page that showed all the sites tags in a list. I followed all the instructions that came with the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin I use, checked the help and support bulletin boards, and, tried everything and anything they suggested. Well, no tags page yet.

Can you make a post with nothing in it entitled Tags, then save as Page, then edit that specific page to include the code from the plugin?
I haven’t used that plugin. Delicious has a nice tag cloud plugin and there are some others out there, but from a wordpress standpoint, it should be as simple as creating a post, then making the post a page and making sure the code is in that specific page.
And that is the problem. I can get the page perfect blank with sidebars header and footer, but, when I add the code for the plug the only thing that appears is the header. The rest of the page just dissappears LOL. Something tells me the database got gremlin’d emmm I might go post on the author of the plugins forum. Right now I am having fun just trying to figure it out on my own – albeit unsuccesfully. I have put the code for the plugin everywhere in the page … heeh hhee I might add that database problems seemed to appear after I tested out the k2 theme….. augh…. What themes have you been thinking about changing too?
I’m still looking at the different themes. I’m trying to port the dance school over to a WP Platform and am hoping to find a nice light theme that I can style in their green and peach colors. I think it’ll be a pretty basic one, but I’d like flexibility to add stuf without such complicated sidebar edits and the like.
Good luck with your tag quest….and I strongly recommend database/site backup and then reinstallation of the upgrade, because things were very glitchy until I actually did a clean install of everything and then started adding back the sidebar stuff. 🙂
