Sometimes the obvious is not obvious. I have spent a lot of time searching the css code in k2 looking for the reason my links in my sidebar with the heading worhty places had a stupid dot in front of it. Augh. DrumNWhistles comments on my previous post reinforced my search for the illusive li or style class. I even searched the code in the sidebar widgets plugin thinking maybe it created a redundant li type thing.
Well, after searching the code again it dawns on me – yes – slow one that I am – that in the k2 sidebar options I had a “links” categorie block and four other “linkblocks”. DUH… I was using the old one “Links” and not the new ones that appeared after I loaded the sidebar widgets plugin.
Years ago after the death of a friend her son gave me her IBM286. I had a Commador something 64 at the time. I turned on the IBM and all there was on the screen was c:\. UMmm… I used Fortran in college so I typed in format(x,x) something along those lines anyway. The nice computer responded that I used the wrong form. Ummm so I tried various forms of format statements until I hit the jackpot – format – yes this nice computer responded are you sure? Well I was not sure but it was the only response the black screen had given me so – yep I pressed YES. LOL ๐
I ended up buying DOS for the IBM and a book. Tonight the little dot controlled by css was my c:\ .

Glad you tracked it down! I’m trying to be widgetless on this go-round and plunge deep into template-land. I may have to surrender to the widgetized goodness, but there are things I can’t do with the widgets yet that I want to do because it’s my blog and I can. ๐
