We finally got some rain in. We need the water – I especially want the water – for selfish reasons of course – if the darn lakes rise then I might be able to launch our boat. Newby boat launchers here need lots of ramp and enough water to float dah boat. I can not convince myself that submerging my two wheel drive trucks bumper under water is the way to go – nope I have visions of my truck slowly sliding off the ramp to its watery grave:(. It really does not help that when you turn the steering wheel left the trailer goes right and I am always confusing my left from right LOL.
I love to bass fish. I think maybe it is the sanitary plastic worms and such are way less stinky. Around here Folsom lake is so low parts of the old dairy that were flooded over when the dam was built are showing. Oroville ramps are usable with four wheel drive only, and on our last trip to Lake Shasta we spent more time finding lost lures, weights, and anchors then fishing. yeah we can use the water.
I love the smell of the first real rain when it hits the ground, the fresh smell of wet dirt, ah I love it! The water droplets on the tree leaves, the puddles reflecting the lights, and watching the clouds change. Maybe if I get a chance while over at our friends tomorrow I will get to sit on their porch and listen to the rain fall.
I love to smell the rain
