The painting of the room is complete! After using my little hand Shark (the steam cleaner thingy) on the walls, a broom to chase away the spider webs on the ceiling, and washing 8 years of yuk yuk off the blinds, I painted. It came out good I think. I choose a pale green tint on two walls and a swiss coffee on the other two. Everyone was saying that is gonna be too green LOL it is slightly tinted green so when the sun is up you can hardly tell that it is green but in the later evening it magically turns the pale green it is.
Now the carpet – 🙁 it is only a 10×10 room but still – good grief do you know how freaking heavy a 12 x 12 roll of carpet is? I am thinking I will call Mike and Michell and they will make their son come help.
I am so pooped right now that I think today is a chill day. Maybe later this afternoon I will lay the tack strips – maybe.
After reading Blindbeard’s post “I’m In Love With Mary Jane” I am wishing I had some of that wacky tobaccy. Sounds good to me – cause my medicine cabinet arsenal ain’t making the grade today. I am blaming the weather, I mean why not? It has gone from the 60’s to the 80’s in two days. No bike riding above 75 for wimpy me.
Catfish is getting over not having our room mate here and really excited by the empty room. Now that it is all clean and bright he is acting like it is his room now. I moved some of my camera gear into the closet and he is now staring at the crap in this room. It is almost as if he is saying well get to it woman – move the junk in there all right all ready as I like it in there better.
Annie is downstairs eyeballing the rolls of carpet and padding with wariness. I think she is worried that it might unroll and attack her. I know it is gonna attack me – me and my hair brained idea – yah I am gonna get this carpet laid- yah sure I am – umm – maybe tomorrow, the next day . … Hey maybe it will magically lay itself!
Well, it is only a bit past 11 am, I have gone and voted, and now, I am going to take a nap.
Just reading about your cleaning and painting and carpeting and moving project makes me tired. I think I need a nap.
Ok – I just now woke up umm – went to bed early got up late – me thinks I am pooped.
It will be ok since I do not have to do anything till Friday – then we have our MS support group meeting and I have to be home for the peeps to come and remove the dead washer and dryer.
Seriously though, I am sitting here trying to find I part of my body that does not hurt LOL
The carpet part has me thinking you’re courageously ambitiously crazy or crazily courageously ambitious or ambitiously crazily courageous. Dunno, those three words keep swirling together.
