I was looking around my little room that I loosely will call an office and noticed the clutter is getting out of hand. The computer work area is overload to the max! My pile of discs that I am burning the photos onto is growing and I still have not hung any of my pictures and stuff. Clutter is not a good thing especially since the multiple sclerosis monster decided I was it’s buddy. Some friend eh?
Picking up the clutter is a pain in the arse anymore. I know if I figure out where to put everything away nice and neat that in following through and actually doing the chore I will run out of gas and end up snoozing away. If I leave it out it sends my mind into a crazy over load. I so am not going to show you the mess my closet in here has become! Do I pick it all up and then snooze or do I sit here feeling the sensory overload and self inflicted guilt for being lazy?
Somehow not having everything all nice and lined up like little ducks behind momma becomes an in my face sort of thing pointing out to me how much control I do not have. Between my body not doing what I ask it to do and the neighborhood noise I get so frustrated sometimes.
There really is never a time of silence around here. Well, if I put on my headset that looks like it belongs on a large equipment operator or maybe on the flight line LOL it gets muffled. Unfortunately so do the dogs AKA the early alert system.
Other updates umm let me think . . . . . . . . . . oh yeah. On the computer front my little gateway is finally getting straightened out – no more evil blue screen of death occurrences lately. The tower computer my friend sold me is working away. The new graphic card and power supply improved performance. And, the old XP machine is still plugging away. So now instead of having NO computer I have backup LOL. I means seriously, when the one and only computer took a dump (the XP machine) and I was without you would think the world was ending or Henny Penny was right and the sky fell. Well I might not have the fastest computer on the block but at least I got backup.
I have been building computers in my head to pass the time. If I had a few bucks I could build a super duper one for a whole lot less that if I went and purchased it. Wishful thinking ha ha.
I have not taken any photos for awhile mostly because of the weather and not feeling it so to say.
The neighborhood is a little quieter now that the rain and wind are here. This past weekend was one of the first warm spring like ones we have had and the bad element type folks seem to get more rambunctious when the warmer weather arrives. Many of us in here are dreading the arrival of summer if this past weekend is an indicator of what is to come.
More later.

my little “house” is an absolute wreck…. crap everywhere… and i have no motivation to straighten it up… bearing in mind that we live in a 5th wheel RV, there really isn’t that much stuff – it’s more that we have too much stuff for the space… i had made these great plans to thin it all out, put a few loads into containers and take it over to our storage space…. yeah, that didn’t happen…. and it drives me crazy too….
our neighborhood gets kind of wound up from time to time too… our RV park is in the ‘hood…. there is a hispanic night club down the road a bit over a mile away and it gets LOUD! then there is the expo center/fairgrounds…. they have motorcycle rallies there… and the bikers descend upon our little park…. wild times ha!
hope all is well and you are feeling alright!
Ciao!

that is what I am missing MOTIVATION! Our little townhouse is crammed full. We cleared out our large storage with the help of Billy, Trish, and the boys. Moved some stuff into a smaller one. Home is still full of crap, small storage still needs going through and cleared . …
Mexican music might be better? I like most of it we listen to when we go to the Catina’s and to our friends.
I am stiff from new exercises in PE other than the usual tired doing spiffy!
Is is still warn there?

Being surrounded by clutter when you can’t clean it up is a particularly excruciating form of torture. Almost as bad as having the books in the bookcase in the wrong order. Stop! It hurts! I’ll do anything…!

what did you notice that my music CD’s were totally out of order? I mean, Mozart mixed in with Anne Murray! Shame on me LOL
Catfish
You mean you noticed moms music CD’s have Mozart near Anne Murray! I keep telling her it is not right nope not at all.
We will not even go into all the power cords hanging around. They get in my way when trying to hunt down an morsel of dropped food.
She says that the bed is covered with all my toys. I am so not going to gather them all up and put them in my toy box. I mean I like them close because I never know when I might feel the need to play football with my orb of fuzz or cuddle with my bear bear.
i am all for clutter – besides if moms trips on stuff Annie helps her get up – what more can a humom ask?

Books in the wrong order…when in was in Library school, I met a woman who used to own an independent book store. Her apartment was the most amazing place. Books literally lined just about all the walls in every nook and cranny. Her shelving classification system? She organized them by color. So, one wall was full of red books, the next white and so on. Not terribly practical but quite a visual feast.

Wow, check out your computer back up system. I’ve just been meaning to burn a disc of the hard drive for a while that’s all. Call me Luddy.
I hate clutter and sometimes get rid of things too readily. Now having said that, I also can let it build up. I’m anticipating a possible move this year. So, I going at things little by little. I’m opening up the cabinets above the desk and finding all sorts of things to clean out. Kind of emotional too — dumping school and career things in the recycling. Also, have let the piles and piles of medical records get out of control. I have to plug away a little at a time and be in the mood.
Today I was dreading my dentist appointment to get a filling. To keep busy prior, I ended up cleaning out the junk drawer in my kitchen! A bright side to the day.
I have a vision of you with your headphones on. We just need to get you the orange florescent thingys to look official.

Wow, did you used to work in IT prior to your, umm, early retirement?
kmilyun
Nope. Just a hobby I used to keep up with I threw in the towel when they started with the virtual drives and machines. My brain can not keep up with technology that changes every hour if not faster LOL.
I learned to program in 1974 the age of punch cards on what I remember to be an Hp2100 considered a micro computer then LOL.
