I am already getting bored. Restless? Which ever it is that time of the year when school is over and it seems everyone else is out traveling. Kind of leaves me with nothing much to do really. I read, watch television, exercise, and talk to the dogs (they have not talked back yet so no worry). After that I get -well –bored!
It has rained that past few days so going out to take some pictures was put on hold and with gas at $4.25 driving is rather costly. What to do, what to do?
To Fight off being Bored!
I usually end up making some silly video to pass the time.
Oh no! another silly video!
bake sand at 250 degrees for at least an hour to get the water out of it
Spray the sand a few times – maybe three – drying between coats with Perfluorobutanesulfonic acid (PFBS)c acid
suggested usage:
make under water sand castles
video tape the worm formation in slow motion
get someone else to vacuum up the sand and watch ( did not work for me I had to clean up after my own green sand)
find an oil spill and pour your sand on it then scuba to the bottom of the water and collect the sand with oil up.
Other suggestions welcome.
You crack me up…and yes, I watched the whole thing. I think I would have preferred pink sand, consider that for the next video 🙂
Cheers
LOL not sure if watching to the end is a good sign!
Hope it made you giggle. Pink sand only came in a more expensive bag. I had a choice of green, an orange-ish brown, and white.
The orange when wet would end up looking like – well poop LOL

LOL…I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Having had a particularly rough day, not good news from the doc, and all around, feeling like a piece of crap, I check in on my blog and find this video from you for ME! I must say, it has perked me up, provided a great giggle, and made my day a whole lot happier. Who’d a thunk a little pink sand could do all that? It’s great. Thanks Jan… you know those bloggers I was talking about in my blogiversary post…you’re one of them.
I downloaded the video to show to my granddaughter…she loves pink too!
Cheers
I am glad you enjoyed and proud to be amongst the peeps.
Giggling is a good thing 🙂
Jan
Thanks, Mr. Wizard! I’m not bored anymore!! (Cute video!! Love having a voice attached to a blog!)
Peace,
Muff
LOL glad your not bored anymore! Had to do something to entertain myself!
Umm…… OK then. I must be as bored as you ’cause like you said, I watched it to the end. Well sand snakes were cool. Pink sand? I think that Karen should make a donation for the next video. 🙂
ha will see you for coffee this afternoon! Then we both shall be un-bored *un bored is not a word? ugh spell check!).
Hey if karen bought sand I would have to get her a knork!
Jan.
So, when are you taking this show on the road to elementary schools for science class? Kids would love the worms and you get become fluent in saying “Perfluorobutanesulfonic acid”.
I need to get one of those white hats with the red stripe and practice barking (not the dog kind ok). LOL show on the road hahahahah . …
It is a tongue twister!
you are a nut! i love the sand… and the comments are priceless!
karen, sorry you aren’t feeling well… stinko… but it is so good that a bit of pink sand can cheer you up!
i have never seen anything like this… in green or pink… lol
well if I am a nut the you are truly a nut LOL
Maybe I will get eaten by a dinosaur next? Not in green sand though.
Jan
That was so funny at the end when you said, “If you watched this then you are as bored as me.”
I thought Hmmmmmmmmmm!
