“Brevi neque ipse ullus usquam eris, nec quidquam eorum, quae vides, neque eorum, qui nunc vivunt, quisquam. Omnia enim ita nata sunt, ut mutentur, vertantur, intereant, ut inde alia sua quaeque serie oriantur.”
–Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, Book XII
Consider that before long you will be nobody and nowhere, nor will any of the things exist which you now see, nor any of those who are now living. For all things are formed by nature to change and be turned and to perish in order that other things in continuous succession may exist.
Yet a little, and you shall be no more; nor shall any of those things remain, which you now behold; nor any of those who are now living. ’Tis the nature of all things to change, to turn, and to corrupt; that others may, in their course, spring out of them.
Before long you will be no one and no where and all the things you see now and all the people now living everything’s destiny is to change be transformed to perish so that new things can be born.

Turkey day was great! Lots of turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing, pies, tamales, and lots more. Nothing like 40 or so people getting together and stuffing their faces tee hee. The different ways people celebrate this holiday are interesting too me. My family always made the kids sit at a different table. At this one everyone sat at the five tables no separation of children from adults it was so fun. Kids are the greatest to watch enjoying it all – especially the deserts 🙂
The rest of the weekend up till today has been not so user friendly. Woke up with a head that spoke of a time bomb inside trying to go off and each step I tried for sent a wave of boinging down to my tail bone LOL some points of this had me thinking ok now if I am gonna die hurry it up woulds yas.
Oh wells much better today.
Got an early Christmas present woo hoo a new drive to replace my almost dead one. I have kept it turned off cause it has like GB’s of photos on it. Most are backed up to CD but the time to finish the rest has not been a priority – major procrastination. So happy happy am I for the gift of a one terabyte drive. Now to decide wheter to format NTSF or not.
Well off to read and hit the hay as I am gonna meat my friend so she doesnt have to sit all day at the shop where we arranged to get her lift fixed – augh 9am in the morning that is like so way to early. I know I am lazy sleep in type.
My friend Lisa V. sent this today – so I thought I’d share it:
BE THANKFUL
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,
because it means you’ve made a difference.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.
