War or Conflict Equal Death

Does it matter that the United States is in an Iraqi Conflict not an Iraqi War? When it comes to death, I think not.
In America the burden of this conflict has been placed on a few military personnel and their families, while the other 99% of us here in America sacrifice very little or nothing.
In Iraq, the majority of the burden seems to be forced upon the citizens.
Without getting into the right or wrong of it, the fact remains that Human Beings are dying.

Patriot Act brings us The United States Secret Service Uniformed Division

Section 605 of the House version of the Patriot Act renewal legislation calls for the creation of a Federal Police Force.

“A permanent police force, to be known as the ‘United States Secret Service Uniformed Division,'” empowered to “make arrests without warrant for any offense against the United States committed in their presence” … “or for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such felony.”

Here is the full text of Sec. 605

Is this what used to be called the Executive Protection Service. I guess they want to expand and nationalize them. Emmm . . . well if you read further : (11) An event designated under section 3056(e) of title 18 as a special event of national significance.

Tilte 18 (e)

(1) When directed by the President, the United States Secret Service is authorized to participate, under the direction of the Secretary of the Treasury, in the planning, coordination, and implementation of security operations at special events of national significance, as determined by the President.

(2) At the end of each fiscal year, the President through such agency or office as the President may designate, shall report to the Congress–

(A) what events, if any, were designated special events of national significance for security purposes under paragraph (1); and
(B) the criteria and information used in making each designation.

So The President decides . . . national significance …. emmm confused again.

maybe this will help United States Service: National Special Security Events

If you feel that you need to report someone apparently here is the form 4017 to so.

With all these links and keywords in the post I am sure they know what I have written in the spirit of freedom of thought.

America – Imagery, The Constitution, and Metaphors

For years my friends have considered my comparison of television imagery and recent political events as metaphors from the novel 1984 and the rise of the Third Reich foolish.

Remember Red Dawn, the beginning scene, outside the windows of a Colorado classroom, Soviet paratroopers glide silently in. As the students look on in fascination, the troops land and begin to deploy. The problem was, I could see this happening.

“Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government.” — Henry Kissinger speaking at Evian, France, May 21, 1992 Bilderburgers meeting. Kissinger was unaware that his speech was taped by a Swiss delegate to the meeting.

Consider these statements:
“The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.”

“To those who scare peace-loving people with phantoms of lost liberty, my message is this: Your tactics only aid terrorists, for they erode our national unity and diminish our resolve.”

The first is Hitler’s right hand man, Hermann Goering at his war crimes trial giving details on how he and his fellow Nazis hijacked Germany’s democratic government. The second is Bush’s right hand man, John Ashcroft, defending the Patriot Act and explaining why dissent is unacceptable in the age of terrorism.

Hitler requested temporary extraordinary powers, powers specifically banned under German law. Hitler claimed he needed The Enabling Act (Ermchtigungsgesetz ) in order to deal with the “terrorists The temporary powers were granted, and once allowed lasted until Germany itself was destroyed. Here in America we now have the Patriot Act.

Well, ok, this is alright, after all our Presidents term in office is up in a view years. Well, not so fast, bills have already been introduced and deferred to sub committee.

I am not saying that our President is a Hitler or a Nazi, rather, strange things are happening and I wonder how many are paying attention. Notice all backdrop imagery used when our government officials speak, there are lots of flags, emblems, and messages behind them.

Ummmm . . . Anytime we ignore history, it can repeat itself.

The Difference One Word Can Make

“CNN quoted Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying that Iran has the right to build nuclear weapons,” the network said in its report of the ban. “In fact, he said that Iran has the right to nuclear energy.”

I do not know about you, but, I think this once again proves that you can not believe everything you hear.
