Fiddler and Chicken
This week has been an exercise in patience. Tevye’s character in Fiddler On The Rood delivers some lines that I always remembered. “Oh, dear Lord. You made many many poor people. I realize, of course, it’s no shame to be poor… but it’s no great honor either. So what would be so terrible… if I had a small fortune?” I call some of his lines Tevye-isms. I can always find one to fit – well, whatever it is I wish it to fit.
Money is tight and I am so, so tired of coming up with the 1021st way to prepare chicken or hot dogs for that matter! I agree with Tevye’s line here : “As the good book says, when a poor man eats a chicken, one of them is sick.” LOL or perhaps the character agrees with me? Chicken – egg -chicken – egg . …
Oh where was I going – umm -? Oh yeah – patience or my lack thereof – is it Winter Yet?
A special Thank you to the couple who blessed KRP and I with a gift certificate to Chile’s restaurant – such a treat we are going to get to eat out somewhere that is not fast food to boot! 🙂
Is there such a thing as a fiddling chicken?
