I Pimp My Blog

pimp my blog pictureToday was down right HOT! I crawled into cold water in the tub more than once. So hope my body sort of acclimates. I know, I Know, multiple sclerosis makes me so heat intolerant. Sucko symptom.

So I got bored. Yep imagine that bored. Well I moved the big arse fan into the puter room and blew the hot air about. Then I decided the pimp my blog! Woo hoo – something to do.

I moved the comment button to the bottom right side after the post since I figure if you read the post that is where you end up at. Then I added the breadcrumbs for the posts. I guess if someone wants to browse the dang things they do not have to click older post, older post . … over and over again. Now you my readers can just click a number. Pick a number any number. You can do this because I decided to  pimp my blog.

Since working along with Sherri over at sherristakes getting her blog up and running I have been notified that getting the latest subscribe and follow bling  is a big deal LOL. Ok so I broke down and added a subscribe by email button in the upper right column. Then I took her word for it and bit the bullet and signed up for google webmaster something or other in my quest to pimp my blog. Then I added a cool widget that customizes your greeting depending on where you came from and reminds you to follow this blog! I am thinking that is not the pimp my blog thing but more like hawking for subscribers or comments – I dunno.

Then Sherri decided to implement one of the plugins in her blog and her site well, it nutted up – fatal errors are like lions, and tigers, and bears Oh my! So that got fixed. We are just having so much fun pimping our blogs. I tell you this pimp my blog is all her fault really truly it is.

So what do you all think? Do you use anything like all of the above? Is it easier to comment with the link on the bottom? Or did you just not notice all the pimping we have done.

Clutter

f/3.3, 1/30 sec, at 6.3mm, 100 ISO, on a PENTAX Optio WPI was looking around my little room that I loosely will call an office and noticed the clutter is getting out of hand. The computer work area is overload to the max! My pile of discs that I am burning the photos onto is growing and I still have not hung any of my pictures and stuff. Clutter is not a good thing especially since the multiple sclerosis monster decided I was it’s buddy. Some friend eh?

Picking up the clutter is a pain in the arse anymore.  I know if I figure out where to put everything away nice and neat that in following through and actually doing the chore I will run out of gas and end up snoozing away. If I leave it out it sends my mind into a crazy over load. I so am not going to show you the mess my closet in here has become!  Do I pick it all up and then snooze or do I sit here feeling the sensory overload and self inflicted guilt for being lazy?

Somehow not having everything all nice and lined up like little ducks behind momma becomes an in my face sort of thing  pointing  out to me how much control I do not have.  Between my body not doing what I ask it to do and the neighborhood noise I get so frustrated sometimes.

There really is never a time of silence around here. Well, if I put on my headset that looks like it belongs on a large equipment operator or maybe on the flight line LOL it gets muffled. Unfortunately so do the dogs AKA the early alert system.

Other updates umm let me think . . . . . . . . . . oh yeah. On the computer front my little gateway is finally getting straightened out – no more evil blue screen of death occurrences lately.  The tower computer my friend sold me is working away. The new graphic card and power supply improved performance.  And, the old XP machine is still plugging away.  So now instead of having NO computer I have backup LOL. I means seriously, when the one and only computer took a dump (the XP machine) and I was without you would think the world was ending or Henny Penny was right and the sky fell.  Well I might not have the fastest computer on the block but at least I got backup.

I have been building computers in my head to pass the time. If I had a few bucks I could build a super duper one for a whole lot less that if I went and purchased it. Wishful thinking ha ha.

I have not taken any photos for awhile mostly because of the weather and not feeling it so to say.

The neighborhood is a little quieter now that the rain and wind are here. This past weekend was one of the first warm spring like ones we have had and the bad element type folks seem to get more rambunctious when the warmer weather arrives.  Many of us in here are dreading the arrival of summer if this past weekend is an indicator of what is to come.

Catfish is in Surgery

Catfish is out of surgery and doing fine. His doctor said he is up and moving about.  – update from Annie

This is my favorite picture of Catfish so I used it!

We dropped him off this morning and expect to here post surgery news by 3PM.  Around 5 our roommate will come home to take me to pick up Mr. Catfish and we shall go from there.

Thank all of you who have left your well wishes.

And yes, I bought two new toys, cleaned the kennel up, and will be putting his favorite pink blanket in it before he gets home.

Annie is confused and very clingy as she has never been away from Catfish save the time she was spayed. We are both kind of pouting and waiting.

Ears still Attached

Just updating what is what around these here parts. Our Godson came in from Thailand and has been busy purchasing a car, filing taxes, and taking care of business. He has applied for several jobs overseas and we are waiting to see which one he gets if any?

PE class again today yeah something productive health again. Gosh the cost per unit is going up from 28 to 40 bucks and they are making all sorts of cuts.  As usual, many of them land on the backs of oh yeah you know this is coming the adaptive PE and special programs for yah the handicapped – o surprise – well more like the DUH factor anymore in this state.

Apparently I am not a priority either because when I tried to register with the disabled services on campus and register I encountered numerous problems. First when I went to the office for those services the lady there was clueless and provided no info and had no idea why I would be considered handicapped or how I would go about registering with their services. Second, the web site would not accept my application for enrollment when I tried to list myself as a returning student nor would it let me enter my chosen degree I was working toward. So I ended up not considered by the state of Calif as a priority student because of all of the above.  So her we go again LOL. At least now it recognizes me as a returnee student but I had to once again say I had no goal. Big mistake!

My PE teacher is going to find out WTF and the 411 to help me get on the right track or maybe I should say get those who are suppose to know off their arses maybe? Seems, the State will provide more funds etc – oh heck I dunno but if I am registered with the disabled peeps and am working on a degree it works out better for all of us.

The weather has been nothing but cold, windy, and rainy. Cold I can do but the wind and rain have put the car-bosh on bike riding and coffee shop sitting – seems others do not find the cold as nice as I do.  I tried watching the news a bit ago but honesty I have no interest in Tiger Woods and what is going on with M. Jackson doctor. Enough already – the earthquake would be interesting … all fluff and nothing of interest for me anyways.

So hooked up the xbox upstairs so Catfish and I can shoot all the bad guys Gears of War 2 and maybe be Big Daddy later as Steven lent me the games for awhile. The big screen downstairs is so old that the text is hard to read etc and I have cleaned so many times I am thinking it does not have one more in it LOL hey it is maybe 8-9 years old, a projection screen – albeit a good one by back then standards – but the little  19 inch guy upstairs is way faster especially in game mode.  Besides I do not have to stop playing when everyone gets home and wants to plop in front of the boob tube.

So rain rain go away until then xbox, reading, exercising, and generally killing time. Oh yeah got a foam sword and ambushed Dorothy on the way into class it was great.   We do these sword fight mock type games once in while – a fun way to work on balance issues and I drew Dorothy as my partner last time- Good grief by the time she got her goggle and ear protection on the class was over. Oblivious to this fact she turned around and whacked me so hard it knocked off my goggles etc and knocked sideways and down I went LOL. Payback!!!  Bra HAHAHHAHA  She loved her sword and we all had some fun over it. My bunny ears are still attached because I was the faster rabbit ha ha

Sunday I went to my folks and afterward we went over to our friends and ate and ate and ate – their Grandkids are there so we had a fun time with the Easter stuff and dang they got solid chocolate bunnies! My mom – oh the Easter Bunny – when I was growing up only got us hollow ones. What’s with that?
