Stuck In A Bottle

Once again we are at the “bored” stage! So many of you know this means – oh no! another silly video.

I have been staying up late at night because it is cool enough that I can actually do something other than sit in a tub of cool water. My mind wanders off on tangents and then somewhere along one of them it comes up with some ideas.

Ok, I admit that most of you probably do not look at an empty soda bottle sitting on your desk and think how cool would it be to make a video where I am in the bottle? But, as you will see in the video, my mind does go there.

The video is only ~30 seconds but it took me most of the week to complete. My brain had an idea that turned out not to be so easy to accomplish. I will not bore you with all the details on how I finally did it but I wish you to notice that the reflections on the front of the bottle are in front of me while the ones on the backside of the bottle are behind me. Also, if I thought it through a bit before venturing in all gung ho I would not have placed the bottle on a reflective surface. I had the whole video completed and realized ugh oh the empty bottle is showing in the desk top glass but I in the bottle am not. Redo!

This project sure had me digging into the video software and I discovered a few new tricks along the learning path.

I will admit that I did settle with the sounds not being so great but hey days into this it got – well . … so I dubbed in the voice and thumps best I could thump at a time, added some background music and called it done. Shades of Green

Like many of you the topic of my daily life has become – it is HOT! Ok, we have not hit the 100’s yet but probably will do so today according to our local weather peeps. Until our insulation situation is handled I am living in the one room with the portable A/C venturing out only when necessary. I spent too long up here and the heat crept up on me. All of a sudden I was turning green. I am sure I looked red but I felt green . …

I did get some green and red bell peppers planted and a few flowers working late in the evening. It finally cooled down enough so at 10p.m. porch light on I got them into their pots. Yesterday it was surprise HOT – well outside was only 97 and upstairs here averaged 86 during the afternoon so I ended up turning the computers off before they too melted down and oozed some sort of bubbling green goo that is often seen in sci-fi movies.

Once again I became bored with reading so I located some green screen shots where the lighting was off causing me to take on a green skin tone – I could have added some Vulcan ears and hit the deck of the Enterprise! When too much green bounces back off the screen or the subject is too close to the screen it is hard if not sometimes impossible chroma key out (fancy name for getting all the green screen out of the pic and leave just the subject). I get very frustrated sometimes because it is hard to stay 10 feet away from the screen in a 10×11 room. The lighting has to be ever so spot on.

Bored So Bake Green Sand

I am already getting bored. Restless? Which ever it is that time of the year when school is over and it seems everyone else is out traveling. Kind of leaves me with nothing much to do really. I read, watch television, exercise, and talk to the dogs (they have not talked back yet so no worry). After that I get -well –bored!

It has rained that past few days so going out to take some pictures was put on hold and with gas at $4.25 driving is rather costly. What to do, what to do?

To Fight off being Bored!

I usually end up making some silly video to pass the time.

Oh no! another silly video!

bake sand at 250 degrees for at least an hour to get the water out of it

Spray the sand a few times – maybe three – drying between coats with Perfluorobutanesulfonic acid (PFBS)c acid

suggested usage:

make under water sand castles

video tape the worm formation in slow motion

get someone else to vacuum up the sand and watch ( did not work for me I had to clean up after my own green sand)

find an oil spill and pour your sand on it then scuba to the bottom of the water and collect the sand with oil up.

Other suggestions welcome.

Auriculate it is a word

No school this week has me wondering what I am going to do to occupy my short attentions span theater mind this summer when there is no PE class.

Freak I am bored!! The weather has been cold, windy, and rainy. So no bike rides this week so far. I have googled to google – yes anything and everything.

Did our governor really say “I look down on people who are waiting, who are helpless. I like people who think there is more to life than eating or going to the toilet.” – umm a quote attributed to him in Wendy Leigh’s Arnold: the unauthorised biography so who the heck knows?

Ears, bunny ears, having auricles, ears, or earlike parts, AURICULATE wow it really is a word!

I loaded different MP3’s onto my Rio player and then I listened to them. Read a couple Annie Perry books and started Karin Slaugher’s Beyond Reach – and now I am back to google LOL

Contemplated the pros and cons of posting something when I really gosh almighty have nothing I feel like putting into words. But decided to do it anyway.

How about guess my favorite color? or how did I break my front tooth?

Playing what if in my mind a lot the past few days. What if I can not get up and down the stairs, drive, the list is long of the what if’s. Oh yeah I got all my blood tests done – I saved up LOL. Wait until they are all due and go in then one stick results in 7 viles of blood and all sorts of test results to look for. So Tuesday I got my butt into the seat of my truck and went in – got the results off the website Wednesday morning O happy joy joy my doc had ordered a bunch of test to check for kidney failure – and woo hoo my kidney function stuff came back normal, gosh all the test were “normal”.

I even broke down and made my appointment with the PCP and I think my neuro automatic made for appointment is coming up in June? She used have me come in every six months and changed it to once a year. It might be because when my six months was up she was out on maternity leave I am not really sure. I so did not make the appointment with Dr Zap – the guy who electrocutes and pokes and hammers on me – I see no point in it really.

I have enjoyed not seeing any doctor since December I think it was, any way, exposure to anything medical doc reflated has a negative effect on my mood and always gets me thinking more about having MS then I normally do.

Ok that is my post about nothing much cause nothing much is going on.
