Stuck In A Bottle
Once again we are at the “bored” stage! So many of you know this means – oh no! another silly video.
I have been staying up late at night because it is cool enough that I can actually do something other than sit in a tub of cool water. My mind wanders off on tangents and then somewhere along one of them it comes up with some ideas.
Ok, I admit that most of you probably do not look at an empty soda bottle sitting on your desk and think how cool would it be to make a video where I am in the bottle? But, as you will see in the video, my mind does go there.
The video is only ~30 seconds but it took me most of the week to complete. My brain had an idea that turned out not to be so easy to accomplish. I will not bore you with all the details on how I finally did it but I wish you to notice that the reflections on the front of the bottle are in front of me while the ones on the backside of the bottle are behind me. Also, if I thought it through a bit before venturing in all gung ho I would not have placed the bottle on a reflective surface. I had the whole video completed and realized ugh oh the empty bottle is showing in the desk top glass but I in the bottle am not. Redo!
This project sure had me digging into the video software and I discovered a few new tricks along the learning path.
I will admit that I did settle with the sounds not being so great but hey days into this it got – well . … so I dubbed in the voice and thumps best I could thump at a time, added some background music and called it done. A little green screen here, a bottle thunk there, and a reflection or two later I am
